HabitCopilot

Privacy Policy

Last updated: July 10, 2026

HabitCopilot is built to be private by default. Everything you create in the app — your habits, routines, check-ins, notes, and coach conversations — is stored only on your device and is never sent to us or to anyone else. We do collect anonymous, non-content usage analytics to understand how the app is used so we can improve it. This policy explains what that means in plain terms.

Data we collect

There is no account system, no advertising, and no advertising identifier (IDFA). We do not ask for your name, email, or any personal information to use the app, and we have no servers that receive your habit data. The only data we collect is the anonymous analytics described in the next section.

Analytics

HabitCopilot uses Google Analytics for Firebase to understand how the app is used so we can improve it. This collects:

This data is not linked to your identity and is not used to track you across other apps or websites. HabitCopilot does not use the advertising identifier (IDFA) and does not show ads. Google processes this data as described in Google's Privacy Policy and How Google uses data. Your habit history, check-ins, and coach conversations stay on your device.

Where your data lives

All of your habit data is stored locally on your iPhone using Apple's on-device database (SwiftData). It is not transmitted off the device by HabitCopilot. If you have iCloud backups enabled for your device, your local app data may be included in your own encrypted iCloud backup, which is governed by Apple's Privacy Policy — not by us.

On-device AI

The coaching features use Apple's on-device Foundation Models (Apple Intelligence). Your habit data and anything you type to the coach are processed on your device to generate responses. This content is not sent to HabitCopilot or to any third party, and it is not used to train any model.

Notifications

If you enable reminders, HabitCopilot schedules local notifications on your device. Because a reminder is about a specific habit, the notification text may include the name of that habit (for example, a streak reminder for a habit you named). These notifications are created and delivered locally by iOS; their content is not sent to us.

Third parties

Google Analytics for Firebase, described above, is the only third-party SDK in HabitCopilot. It receives the anonymous analytics events listed in that section and nothing else. There is no advertising SDK and no cross-app or cross-site tracking, and we do not sell or share your data with data brokers. Your habits, notes, check-ins, and coach conversations are never sent to any third party.

Deleting your data

You are always in control of your data:

Children's privacy

HabitCopilot is a general-audience habit tracker and does not knowingly collect personal information from anyone, including children. The analytics described above are anonymous and are not linked to any individual.

Changes to this policy

If this policy changes, we will update this page and revise the date above. Continued use of the app after an update means you accept the revised policy.
